Good news for Nintendo Switch owners: in Update 7.9, we've also worked on eliminating incompatibility issues while using Nintendo-certified third-party controllers. Some other gamepads may be OK as well (MFi-certified on iOS, xinput-compatible on Android and Windows 10) but we can't guarantee they will work correctly. To play, you'll need a Sony Dualshock 4 (iOS 13+, Android 10+) or a Microsoft Xbox One Controller (iOS 13+, Android 5.1.1+, Windows 10). ![]() Garage controls with a virtual cursor and several shortcuts were added as well. Unlike the old implementation, the current one allows you not only aiming, shooting, moving, and using consumables, but also turning the auto-aim on / off, using the lookout camera mode, and switching shell types with a gamepad. In Update 7.9, we are adding basic gamepad support at the request of enthusiasts who used the rudimentary pre-Update 7.0 experimental functionality that enabled limited in-battle controls. Some players have reported bugs, but I’m not clear on that. There were problems when used with Android devices, but those were supposed to have been fixed. Controllers worked until 7.0, although there was no official support. this is Wargaming we are talking about here. or they might cut it off as a deal with Nintendo. WG added some gamepad support in Update 7.9. Nothing new, but I think I saw something where they were trying to introduce blitz to Nintendo switch, so they might start allowing controllers on other platforms as well. ![]()
